About Us

Jambunathan is a Chartered accountant / cost accountant and Company secretary. He has more than 40 years’ experience having worked across various organisations in Mumbai.

His wife Anuradha worked for Dena Bank and took VRS in 2020 so as to look after the 2 girls who were growing up. Both their girls are now settled abroad in USA.

He retired in January 2020 and was looking at alternatives / challenges to keep himself busy and also to offer back to society by being engaged in NGO / Social / Educational institutions etc. COVID stuck in Mar 2020 and after pondering over various alternatives they decided to move bag and baggage to Manali in Himachal Pradesh. The major driving factor was that he was an avid trekker and liked mountains.

They stayed in a rented house in Jagatsukh and loved the climate / organic vegetables and fruits / fresh air / local’s friendliness and decided that they need to do something to keep themselves engaged. This was during the second COVID between April to December 2021. They happened to meet Mr.Chhabil who is a professor in college. They were constructing a new place in Sarsai and were also running a home stay in Rangri. They were looking for someone to manage their new property. They had identified that there was no authentic home stay specialising in South Indian / Maharashtrian delicacies in their first year of stay. Anuradha loved cooking and she was only too happy to don the hat of chief cook in their plans to manage the home stay (Southern Hamlet). This suited them well as :

• They would meet people from various parts of India.

• Stay in luxurious house with a kitchen garden / amidst apple orchards.

• Engage in expanding knowledge / arts / spoken English to locals.

• Anuradha could indulge in her passion of cooking.

• Jambunathan could share his expertise in finance / investment opportunities.
